Chard or spinach Spread

You can easily use this spread as a sauce for your spaghetti or anything you can combine it with.


Ingredients

  • 500 Grams
    Chard
  • 4 Pieces
    Clove of garlic
  • 8 Tablespoons
    Olive oil
  • 10 Pieces
    Chashews
  • 1 Pinch
    Salt, chili, oregano, garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Fill a larger pot half with water and bring it to boil. (This will speed up your preparation time)

    Now rinse the chard well and remove the tough stems.
    Place the cleaned chard into the pot with boiling water and let it cook for about 3 minutes.
    When softened, drain all the water from the pot.

    Add olive oil to a pan and place it over medium to high heat.
    Add some chopped garlic and fry it for about 1–2 minutes or until it turns golden yellow in color.
    Up next, add the cooked chard to it and let it fry another 2 minutes, but don't forget to stir. ;)

    Finally, put everything from the pan in a food processor, add the cashew nuts to it, and let it blend.

    Season the spread according to your preferred taste and enjoy!
